  • Design of Electrical & Mechanical systems and equipment in Explosive atmospheres, including ATEX equipment for DSEAR & BS60079-14 compliance. This includes the preparation of DSD’s and BS60079 compliant documentation.
  • Installation of Electrical systems and equipment in Explosive atmospheres, including ATEX equipment for DSEAR & BS60079-14 compliance. Undertaken by CompEx qualified, time served hazardous-area electrical / instrumentation engineers.
  • Inspection and condition reporting on Electrical systems and equipment in Explosive atmospheres, including ATEX equipment for DSEAR & BS60079-17 Compliance. Undertaken by CompEx qualified hazardous-area electrical / instrumentation engineers, with issuance of comprehensively prepared reports and certification.
  • Procurement of DSEAR risk assessments and Hazardous Area Classification documents. Consultation and management for entire lifecycles of hazardous area projects and facilities.
  • ‘Hazardous Area Responsible Person’ –  We can step in where establishments do not possess sufficient competencies and guide you to ensure the ongoing safe operations of your business. These services include:
      • ATEX asset management (Managing the lifecycle of assets for compliance and assurance. This includes the management of scheduling inspections & repairs and replacements)
      • Electrical / DSEAR / ATEX Contract Supervisor (Providing live critical analysis of the performance of contractors and staff on site with regards to explosion safety)
      • ATEX & DSEAR audits (Comprehensively assess the organisational controls, and engineering systems which make up the explosion protection approach of your facility including reports and recommendations on practical improvements)
